Small insights from Matt's late-night ideas jotter

Recursive

This is one of those recursive things...

If you know me fairly well, you will know I'm not a morning person. I come alive at about midnight, or at least one part of my brain does. Some of my best ideas come at this time of night, and are often forgotten in the morning, so I scribble them down on a jotter next to my bed.
So last nights idea was to share the contents of my jotter with those who might be interested. I didn't write this one down, at the risk of forgetting it in the morning, or worse still, it becoming recursive and resulting in the destruction of the known universe. (Or localised to our immediate galaxy anyway)

What you'll find on here are some of my ideas aren't even formed enough or good enough to make it to the ideas bakery, they are just simple thoughts. Hopefully you'll be encouraged and inspired by these....

The only problem was, what should I call it?
I settled on Matt's jotter, but the close runners were:

Matt's blogjot jotblog jogblot joblot

I liked 'joblot'(1) even though the meaning is completely different. I think you need to work on the collective noun for jottings.

(1) What is this recursive(1) thing anyway?

The recursive problem comes were I jot down on my jotter an idea about starting a blog to publish the contents of my jotter which has on it the idea of starting a blog or, later, ideas referring to the blog which would then be published on the blog... It very quickly gets out of hand, and with no useful content.
